depends on what type of laptop CDROM drive...
the ones toshibs uses with special connectors on the back.. .the removeable
ones from the satanard sattelite units... if you remove their special casing
- they have standard 44pin laptop IDE connectors... you could almost just
add a second connector to your 44 pin cable and do it that way... power
might be a problem, so you might need to cut the power wires to the second
connector and run a secondary 5v supply to those pins

Subject: [ihack] Adding a CD-Rom

I have a laptop CDrom that I'd like to add to my I/O. I'm not sure how to
go about doing it, however.

Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to do this successfully?
Also, where might I get a cable for this setup?

Thanks in advance!

Brandi
