There is only one reason to remove the SanDisk.
An unmodified V3 I-Opener BIOS will only boot ONE IDE drive,
which is the SanDisk. If you remove the SanDisk then you can
boot a HD with a previous SanDisk image and reflash the bios.
Personally I'd much rather scrape some epoxy than try this approach.
The SanDisk is intelligent and will disappear if you have 2 other IDE
devices.
This was determined by yhe guy who got a CD and HD to work at the same time.
