Wrong again.
I have three laptop hard drives. A 1.3 gig, a 814 meg, and a 254
megger. With the 254 megger, the SanDisk would yield.
Not so with the other drives, all with the CDROM as master. The
SanDisk would not yield to the CDROM as slave.
So the SanDisk is not as "intelligent" as you suggest.
At any rate, leaving two devices set the same, (both masters, or both
slaves,) leaves contention on the bus that's not needed. It might
even work, for a while. Then who knows? With which file are you
willing to learn the hard way with?
