I had the same problem. Its failing trying to run ScanDisk, but for some reason
the Netpliance doesn't display the screen correctly. You have to add an
config.sys and to load up himem.sys for scandisk to run correctly. You can
find himem.sys in the Win98 setup disk files.
You just need the following line in your autoexec.bat
device=himem.sys
Also make sure the himem.sys file is in your current path.
You will still get the blue screen, but can continue by hitting enter. For some
reason my netpliance did could not display the scandisk character cell graphics
screen. It will run ok, and continue into the normal setup after the disk is
verified.

I have finally got all the parts for the iopener and installed the system
boot disk on c: i-opener drive. I've put win98 install files on e: and am
trying to install win98. When I run setup.exe, it gives the normal "setup
is blah blah.. press enter to continue or escape to quit". Then, it comes
to a blank royal blue screen and just hangs there.
Any ideas why? I really hate to take the hd out, install win98 on c and put
it back in the I/O because there's really no reason that what I'm doing
shouldn't work (well, at least I don't *think* there is!)
Any ideas on what might be the problem or things to try to get it working?
