Hey guys... im back from vacation.
I woulda replyed soner but i was at comdex all day tuesday and
it took me all day yesterday to catch up on 6 days of IOPENER/IHACK digests.
At COMDEX i got lots of free Linux and BSD stuff. I have to say that it was
linux heaven compared to last year.
I ran into the editor of Linux Journal again, he is a great guy.
Met a guy i couldnt place... turns out he's a famous face for Linuxstore.com
And at the show, despite many mentions of meeting up with people, askign if
anyone wanted to talk etc... The only Person we found that was iopener
hacking related was the NetBSD guy. He was volenteering at the NETBSD booth
and had his toy setup and was letting people play with it. We got to talk
and he was a really cool guy... though i must say i am quite jelous that he
has a minipbx in his house... sounds like a fun toy.
Anyways... just thought id mention it. and id like to extend out help to
anyone in the Northern Illinois region
help w/ thier iopener. I can flash bios if needed. And help out with other
stuff. I am not a linux guru, not by far... but i am looking for a good LUG
in the Lake County Area. Or just group of people to mett up with and talk
geek - get coffee's or beer's - whatever...
