Greg,

i've found that most friendly local computer stores will _give_ you a whole
bag of supplies. CompUSA even gave me a whole bunch of screws once, just go
talk to the dudes in their service department. A local store is always the
best bet though.
if you want getto-fast though, just strip a section of really small
solid-core wire and bend that baby around. :) And BTW, i had a drive that
didnt work without a jumper informing it that it was master.

| I've had a similar problem. Instead of the BIOS not recognizing the
| SanDisk, the system just won't boot with the HDD as primary master and
| SanDisk as slave. I suspect this comes from the lack of a jumper on my
HDD
| to specify that the drive is in fact the master. I know that it's
supposed
| to default to master if there is no jumper present, but the way it's not
| booting (it posts, but failes to find any drives, and the auto detect IDE
| devices in BIOS also fails to find anything) is the same behaviour as if
| there were two devices set to master or slave.
|
| Anyone know where I can get a jumper of the right size? I've contemplated
| just soldering a connection, but haven't worked up the guts to make that
| kind of mod just yet.
