Well... for those who heard my theory yesterday...
Its kaput... or at least so far.
I wired up an adaptor like this
IO (10) - VGA (female 15)
1 RED 1 Red Out
2 REDGND 6 Red Rtn
3 GREEN 2 Green Out
4 GRNGND 7 Green Rtn
5 BLUE 3 Blue Out
6 BLUEGND 8 Blue Rtn
7 HORZ 13 Horz Out
8 SYNC GND 10/11 Sync Rtn & Monitor ID0 in
9 VERT 14 Vert Out
10 GND 5 Ground
and i even tried the suggested idea that pin 8 goto 10 only and not both
10&11. The same thing occurred both times
The whole system bogged... i didnt get a boot, and when the connection was
removed you could hear the fan speed up... this video connection was
DRAINING large amoutns of power from the board. Nothing was hurt. But i had
to remove power and replace it to get the unit to boot.
Tonight i will try the simpler idea that maybe the original pinout listed
was all that was needed... just R/G/B/H/V/Gnd and not all the returns and
such.
